Natural Liquid Eyeliner

natural eye liner

I started my makeup adventure with an easy one, eyeliner.  I wanted a dark color.  I decided to use Hershey’s Special Dark cocoa powder.
I mix it up as I’m ready to use it, that way there is no chance of any bacterial contamination.

For a liquid eyeliner look, here is what you will need:  Hershey’s special dark cocoa powder (regular cocoa powder for a brown color) and Olive oil.
Mix a little less than a ¼ of a teaspoon of the cocoa powder with a drop of olive oil.  Add more cocoa powder if the mixture is too runny. The mixture should be thick but pliable. Use an eyeliner brush to apply.
For a matte eyeliner look. Mix less than a ¼ of a teaspoon of the cocoa powder with a few drops of water.  Add more cocoa powder if the mixture is too runny.  Again the mixture should be thick but pliable.  Use an eyeliner brush to apply.

Cocoa powder is high in antioxidants and helps keep your skin looking supple and younger.  Olive oil is great for the skin too.  It has antioxidants that protects the skin from premature aging as well as protecting against ultraviolet light.  Also, olive oil won’t clog your pores.  It’s a good moisturizer, which an added benefit.
