Katmai National Park, Alaska
Brooks falls

Bears are undeniably one of nature’s most majestic animals. It was fortunate that one of the wildlife cameras in Katmai National Park and Preserve, directed at Brooks Falls, was able to catch such a glimpse into the daily lives of the native Brown Bears.

Katmai National Park and Preserve is 4.1 million acres and home to about 2,200 bears
Every year over a hundred Brown Bears descend on a mile long stretch of Brooks River to feast on the largest Sockeye Salmon run in the world. These bears eat up to 40 Salmon, or as much as one hundred pounds of fish per day.
